I am using an intercom, but also for standard headphones, I use a Shure. While deeply rooted in the ear and little wind to get all the desired sound.
I think we have to get creative with it. Every vehicle I saw was for the entire DOT helmet provided.
I am sure that you can use to operate with a microphone, would be an expensive mod. Shure headphones retail for $ 99
