Both are working to control blood pressure, but slightly different.

Are sometimes used in combination with one another - sometimes one at a time. Doctors often to switch to another one of the following reasons:

* One of them is not controlling your blood pressure and the doctor wants to try the other,
* One of them is to cause side effects .... etc. ... etc. as above
* One of them affects the effect of other medications you are on the side of their blood pressure tablets.

Jump from one to another is very common and is certainly nothing that important to you

Hope this helps

The atenolol is a beta-blocker and an ACE inhibitor Conversyl. Beta-blockers block ephinephrine work that ACE inhibitors block the enzymes for the conversion of angiotensin.
