airbob61 @ ver ... no cash accounts. The money market funds together to invest in securities with extremely short notice. Typically, bonds pay days and night. Although not guaranteed, the risk of losses low. Money market accounts are usually linked pension fund money market savings account interest rate.
Cd's are charged at a fixed interest rate for a certain time. Prices are usually older, but no penalties for early retirement. The penalties can be up to 3 months interest.

CD can not recover their money without penalty. Money Market, you can keep your money, but sometimes there are limits.

Money is fluid and the interest rate you'll pay next May.

CD-block money for a specified period and interest on the list.

I can issue a Money Market account for my emergency savings, which checks, if necessary ... CD to really suck.
